Differences Between Forge, Sage, and Muse Agents in Forgecode

TLDR: Forge modifies files and executes code, Sage provides read-only research, and Muse generates strategic plans without touching the repository. Choose Sage for exploration, Muse for architectural planning, and Forge for implementation.

The antinomyhq/forgecode repository provides three built-in agents—Forge, Sage, and Muse—that share the same registration mechanism but enforce strict operational boundaries. While all three are defined in crates/forge_repo/src/agents/ and loaded by the API at runtime, they differ fundamentally in their toolsets
